Meet my rooster. He’s not really mine, per say, but I did find him in a field on Tuesday and manage to get a picture. That’s really the only claim I have on him. I was riding my bike through a field on the outskirts of campus, and suddenly, there is a rooster. I don’t know where he came from or what he was doing there. But there he was. I stopped my bike and took my camera out, but couldn’t zoom in far enough to get a good picture. So I hopped off my bike and started creeping towards him. Too bad he wasn’t blind. He started strutting off, so I started strutting after him, and he got faster, so I got faster, and then he just started running as fast as a poor rooster can. “Wait,” I yelled, “I just want a picture!” Unfortunately, he was having none of that. In fact, he changed direction and gave me a clear shot of exactly what he thought of my picture. But I prevailed in the end*, though he put up a good fight. Props to you, rooster.

*No roosters were harmed in the making of this photograph.
