How awesome are people. NASA is adding a chunk onto the ISS and they have decided to let the public vote on what to name it. Right now it’s just Node 3, but follow the link and you’ll find a poll. It has the 4 most popular names you can vote for, and you can also enter your own idea if you really want to. Guess what is winning by an entire 80%? Serenity! (As in Firefly? Only one of my favorite shows ever [thanks, Tim!]. Joss Whedon? Mal, Jayne, River…? No?) For the 2% of you who know what I’m talking about, go vote for Serenity! You have until March 20. And the rest of you… vote anyway. And then go to Hulu and watch some Firefly.
It would basically make my entire year [at the very least] if NASA named something Serenity and then put it into space.
